Last week, we took a look at some of the great classic cars at the Big Rock classic Car & Cycle show in Duvall, WA. It was a big show for a small town, and well supported by everyone who brought a car, truck, tank (yes), or motorcycle.
For your Truck Thursday viewing pleasure, I want to show you a few of the trucks that caught my eye last weekend. Let’s begin with the Willys trucks.
I’d be hard pressed to carry this much stuff in my pickup, let alone this relatively small 1942 Willys MB. Clearly they were doing something right. I mean, this thing has a gun turret!
Here’s a prototype, just one year earlier. You can see the classic profile has already taken shape. The headlights were moved closer together and behind the grille, presumably for safety and reliability.
Lots of Willys love at this show.
Remember the other big red truck I showed you? This one could give it a run for its money.
This 1929 Ford Model A roadster pickup looks great in a deep purple.
That little kid kept putting his grubby paws on that sweet Graham next to this Model A pickup, even as his parents kept telling him no los tocas. Hard to blame him, I guess.
This 1953 F-100 is one of the first classic trucks I learned to love as a kid. I still love it.
This WC-53 and the Power Wagon next to it were probably my favorite trucks at the show. They are definitely not trailer queens.
This Ford is amazing clean and simple. I can’t add much more than that.
You’ve seen this and the next few in my previous post, but I wanted to show them again. I don’t see many Dodge Brothers trucks at shows, so this one got my attention. What really intrigued, though, is under that hood.
This Cameo is just about perfect. All original, too.
I’ll end this post with a picture of this nice little Studebaker. Apparently this was driven from Cusick, WA, which is about 330 miles from where you see it parked in this picture. Pretty cool. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

I see the 5 headers on the Dodge Brothers (there has to be a salvage yard full of crashed Vipers with 150 miles on the motor, where hot rodders keep finding these things) but can you tell me more about the Sno Cat or whatever that is behind Mr Rat Pack?
Not much – I saw it, told myself I would get some pictures, and then never made it over there. There were a few vehicles like it at the show, including a missile transport vehicle of some kind.
Powerwagons make me weak in the knees.
Especially daily driver Power Wagons. The whole family came out – even the dogs, who rode in back with a kennel strapped in the bed.
Man, I dig the MA and MB Jeeps.
Indeed. I do not dig Creepshow in the back there all dressed up with the dog on his lap.
Loving the prototype Jeep. The WC-53 is awesome, too. I don't think I've ever seen one of those before.
