The who-we-want-to-be-when-we-grow-up Mike Bumbeck of Clunkbucket rolled by Bug-in #35 at California Speedway and captured quite a few VW’s that have grown well beyond their minimalist intended use. How beyond? 11 second quarter mile beyond. A badass bug is one thing but this Baja Ghia’s got my blood pumping and gears turning. After all, read-to-be-mutated shells can be had for crazy cheap, and being VWs, there’s no shortage of crate engines and kits available.
