Eric, Stef, and Brad are all talking racing this week. We recorded at a weird time, so we didn’t have a full cast. This week’s episode is all about the 24 hours of Le Mans. We give a recap of the race, a few of our thoughts, and some experiences that we had during the 24. It was an awesome race this year, and if you missed it, please go watch at least some highlights programs or something. Well worth it!. If you don’t want the race spoiled, maybe hold off on listening to this episode.
Check out our Twitter, and our Facebook pages. As always, we’d really appreciate it if you would rate us on iTunes, share us with your friends, and maybe if you’re feeling nice, interact with us on those social medias. If you prefer your recaps in written form, make sure you check out Pat’s Formula Fun here on Hooniverse.
Ford GT40 fans hoping that the 50th anniversary of Fords historic win in 1966 would be celebrated by a Ford GT class win were disappointed.
But don’t worry. Porsche celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of the win by replicating it.
50 years ago the No.2 Ford GT40 crewed by two young New Zealanders, Chris Amon and Bruce McLaren, after a difficult but brilliant drive overcame early setbacks to win first place at the Circuit De La Sarthe.
Last weekend the No.2 Porsche 919 crewed by two young New Zealanders, Brendon Hartley and Earl Bamber (and a German, Timo Bernhard), after a difficult but brilliant drive overcame early setbacks to win first place at the Circuit De La Sarthe.
Thanks Porsche for using their 19th win, (and third in a row!) to pay homage to their competitors in such a way!

You’re off by a year Rover! Mind you they missed out on replicating the 1967 win, but did replicate their second in class.
Duh.
This only underlines how unpredictable even the reenactment of the race is!
Hey, it is a strange sort of human being that never makes mistakes!
