Friend of Hooniverse Joe Carioti was minding his own business at the Detroit Auto Show. He happened upon a 2015 Ford Mustang with its hood open. This is important, because none of the hoods were supposed to be open. Ford actually removed hood latches from the car to keep this from happening.
It’s even more important… because this is your first glimpse at the 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder Mustang. Click past the jump for more pictures and a video.
Early word is that this mill will push out around 305 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque. Since it’s an Ecoboost unit, it will certainly have a delightful torque curve, and it should prove to be a great match for the new Mustang.
