For many here in the United States, today is D-Day for getting taxes in. Uncle Sam has his deadlines you know. To keep your minds off that unpleasantness, we have this week’s Mystery Car for you to solve. Make and Model if you please, and if you’re answering for yourself and a spouse, please make sure to use the right form and submit in triplicate.

  1. I know I am almost certainly wrong on this, but the modern-style tail light is really throwing me.
BMW Z4? (So i guess the 3.0L Turbo or 2.0L turbo or whatever)

  2. To be precise, this year Monday, April 18 is the actual deadline due to an obscure holiday celebrated only by public employees in Washington, DC.
The reason is because of Emancipation Day, which is held on April 16th, unless that date falls on a Saturday or Sunday. When this happens, most holidays are pushed forward to the next business day, however for Emancipation Day, observance is moved to the nearest weekday, which in 2016 means Friday, April 15th.
In 2005, Emancipation Day was made an official public holiday of the District of Columbia and under the Tax Code, D.C. holidays are considered federal holidays, meaning the deadline to file your taxes in 2016 is moved to Monday, April 18th, 2016 for the majority of taxpayers.
