Last Call- Orange You Glad Edition

On the left, the 1969 Adams Brothers Probe concept car, and on the right, the 1966 GM XVR prototype. Both as wild an example of ’60s automotive extremes as you could want, and both very, very orange. Which one would you rather rock?
Last Call indicates the end of Hooniverse’s broadcast day. It’s meant to be an open forum for anyone and anything. Thread jacking is not only accepted, it’s encouraged.

  1. What's up with ID today? All of my past comments are missing…

      1. I went from 2000 something comments to 12. Slight change. Haha. I actually lost 1p making that comment. Weird.

        1. You should get ten points added just for your Tata post.
I went from over 3000 to 439, and most of those seem to be Atomic Toaster comments. Yep. Weird.

          1. Thanks. Ironically I actually lost p for posting it. I think it has to do with volume and average, of course I don't know what goes into making the p sausage and frankly i probably wouldn't want to know. Haha.

          2. Yep, welcome to the world of p-redistribution you (p) One-percenter.

    1. Yeah, something odd is happening. It shows my two comments from today (now three), one yesterday and the next is 76 weeks ago.
Oh, and I've only made 8 total comments. LOL, sure, this week maybe.

    2. The Hooniverse was down for a while earlier, some of today's comments disappeared, but are back now. My profile states I have just below 5000 comments. When did that happen?

    3. One of the few comments I have left is a reply to a comment that disappeared, so it exists and yet does not exist. Its very strange.

      1. Schroedinger's comment?
Lately I haven't been around here much, especially not while logged into Intense Debate since my primary computer suddenly decided that nope, not gonna cooperate with ID any longer, but apparently this is my first Hooniverse comment EVAR. (I'm sure it's a browser issue, but even after de-widgetifying & reinstalling both FF & Chrome, still no go)

    4. Whoah… I'm back to 92 Pee. Do I get to have another One Hundred Pee celebration? Or is it like when the Dow went over 10,000 the second time?
Comment count was funky, too. One post said 6 comments, but when you opened the page there were 3 or 4. It's back to being correct now.
All my comments before April 2012 are missing.
Irishzombieman still has 109 Pee, but has only posted 439 comments in the past 167 weeks.

      1. Hopefully, Jim remembers your caption. It was the clear winner.
"Volkswagen knew that kisses should be horizontally opposed, air-cooled, and are best at slow speeds."
        (did I get that right?)

  2. …is that the GRX on the right? I know, I know, GM XVR, but hey, it's got the right letters in there…

  3. today i reinstalled the kick panels in my car, having lost the heater core back in october and kept the whole interior disassembled since then so that i could finish installing my homemade USB charger / cell phone mount setup under the stereo.
i've decided that the worst people in the world are whoever designs car interior plastics. everything breaks all the time, and there's so much stuff that'll all just get lost or broken eventually. i guess it didn't help that i was playing with 16-year-old brittle plastics in winter, but i feel like that car is made mostly of sheet metal screws now. on the other hand, the fact that it all comes apart so much more easily than it goes together feels like an invitation to rebuild everything my way.
for now, i'm just happy to have my hooptie all in one piece again.
