Welcome to another Hooniverse Wagon Wednesday. This will be the last time I will draw from the well that is Kevco Classic Car Sales in Sioux Falls, but it is a great car to celebrate Wagon Wednesday with. This is a 1962 Chevrolet BelAir Wagon, and it is about as stripped as anything out there. Check it out and see if you think this is a truly desirable wagon.
In 1962, Chevrolet had three different trim packages for the Wagon, the base Biscayne, the mid-level Bel-Air, and the top of the line Impala. This Bel-Air was suppose to be the mid-level spec, but in the 60’s everything was optional and it shows. According to the dealer:
1962 CHEVY BELAIR 4 DR. WAGON IN “SILVER BLUE” POLY / ORIG. BLUE FABRIC INT. ALL CHROME AND STAINLESS IS AS NEW. ALL GLASS IN ALSO EXCELLENT CONDITION. IT HAS ACTUAL 22,543 ORIGINAL MILES AND IS INDEED A TRUE “TIME CAPSULE” SURVIVOR. EQUIPPED WITH THE “TURBO FIRE” 283 C.I. V-8 / 195 H.P. / POWERGLIDE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. NEWER BLACKWALL RADIAL TIRES AND STOCK WHEELS AND HUBCAPS, NEWER EXHAUST. TRULY AN “AMAZING” QUALITY VEHICLE ALWAYS IN A CLIMATED CONTROL GARAGED WHEN NOT BEING “FAIR WEATHER” DRIVEN. THIS CAR RUNS AND DRIVES AS NICE AS IT IS. TOP TO BOTTOM EXCEPTIONAL, COLLECTOR QUALITY VEHICLE.
