Yes, I reused the lede image from last week. So sue me.
The 2013 New York International Auto Show is presently in full swing, and remains one of the most contradictory of shows, being as it is in a city that really doesn’t lend itself to any automobile other than a yellow cab. Still, the folks that live there do rock the wallets, and many of them also have a house outside of the city and require a means of getting there.
By now you’ve probably seen all the important new metal – stuff like SRT’s newest Viper and Jeep, the stunning new Cadillac CTS, and the Camaro Z28 – by way of Hooniverse’s cracker jack coverage. Hell, we even brought you the show from a 12-year old’s point of view, so you didn’t even have to call up your inner child. Now that’s service!
And that’s why today we want to know which New York International Auto Show debut, for you at least, made the biggest empire statement. Is there something that you have been anticipating that has now premiered? How’d that work out for you? Or, is there something that caught you off guard, and has now piqued your curiosity? What NY Show debut has gotten you the most excited?

My favorite was the GT3. I said so, other agreed…but that Camaro was something to behold and that's what I think its the best NYIAS debut., since the GT3 was debuted in Geneva.
Shelby Raptor does it for me.

No question.

Looking at the reveals in New York, we're all doomed.

Doomed to enjoy the new Scion tC! It's all like ka-KOW!
There's some weird recessive gene that's making me kind of like this. But then again, I secretly lust after the Buick Verano Turbo. I guess we can't all be perfect. Here's a picture of a properly great car to cleanse the mind palate:

I feel the need to admit that any and all appreciation of the Scion tC is a residual effect of a certain television program.
Ah, thanks be to the power of the Internets for helping me figure that out just now.
Said show also provided my avatar.
Man, people need to watch Frisky Dingo more. I mean, it's from the creators of Archer! Everyone loves Archer!
But unfortunately I kind of explained the joke so that wasn't very smart of me.
I had no idea it existed until a few minutes ago. If I don't get Adult Swim, how can I learn about its programs? As to how I'm able to get Archer…
Archer's on Netflix, finally. Don't know about Frisky Dingo.
The verano is pretty damn good. If the tC were RWD it would really be channeling the spirit of the 86 much better than the subacioyta.
I was hoping to line up the tC and FR-S in a shot for a ka-kow joke tweet, but they were on opposite ends of the booth.
Managed to snag these.

Oh No! I didn't respond to today's Hooniverse Asks!

There. All fixed.
The new Cherokee still looks like ass, but the Trailhawk version is pretty legit for a stock offroader. Also, 270-something-hp V6 and 4500lb towing are nothing to sneeze at.
I'm hoping to get one as a press car and infuriate some purists.
It's growing on me… The lack of articulation though…
I could swear it lifted a wheel driving up the ramp on the stage. I'll bet it's the most capable CUV there is, and I kinda dig the Trailhawk's looks… but I have a hard time reconciling my internal thought processes regarding "Jeep" with a vehicle that doesn't have at least one beam axle.
I'm quite excited about the BMW 328d. Yes, it's automatic only and, more aggravating to me, the wagon is AWD only, but a 3er that gets an honest 40mpg highway? That's pretty damn cool.
It was pretty weird when that rejected proposal for the 2002 Geo Metro was unveiled, but I guess it's kind of neat that we got to see some planned products that never came to fruition.
