I’m going to continue with a weekend of vary large Detroit Style Iron with a couple of low mileage, mid 70’s era Ford 2-Door Coupes. One sports a Galaxie 500 Badge, the other one is classified as an LTD. They are both highly desirable in my book, but I want to know what you think… The first large Ford Coupe is this all Black 1973 Ford Galaxie 500 sporting a 400 CID V-8, and whick covered only 23,000 miles from new. According to the eBay listing:

This is so much car for so little, and it has a presence that NO OTHER CAR HAS, at least in today’s environment. It is a 1974 Ford LTD, also powered by the 400 CID V-8, and is also a relatively low mileage example, covering only 35,000 miles. According to the eBay listing:

1974 FORD LTD 2 door hardtop, red, recent white vinyl top replacement by professional shop, black int. approx. 35,000 miles, 400 cu V8, 3 speed automatic, P/S, P/B, A/C but not functioning, AM radio, cornering lights that are not currently connected, power trunk release button in glove box, original Ford floor mat in front, always garaged, no rust, appears to have been rustproofed, see plug in door jamb photo, excellent shape, a true time capsule, drives like it should, recent tires, new radiator, new brake master cylinder, recent dual exhaust with flow master type mufflers, sounds good but not quiet with factory style tailpipes. Original wheel covers included, as well as dealer brochure, and 5 volume shop manual set from 1974.There are a few door dings if you look close enough that could be removed by paint-less dent removal service. I purchased the car in July 2008 with 32,458 miles, and it currently shows 35,136, which equates to 2,678 miles or 535 miles per year in the last 5 years. Title shows miles as actual miles. Enjoyable car to own, drive, and show.

Usually, I like red and white cars, and the condition of this car is pretty good, but not quite as good as the previous Black example. The only thing this car has over the Black one is that glorious interior… and that is the major problem with newer cars today… the interiors are as dull as dishwater. This one isn’t… absolutely stunning, as is the rest of the car. With six day to go until the auction ends, the top bid so far is $1,025 with the reserve that has not been reached.
