Opening up our Sunday Edition of the Hooniverse Weekend, and I thought I would start out with this thing… A 1950 Hudson Commodore 4-door sedan mounted on a 1979 Chevrolet 4X4 Truck Frame. I have no idea as to why the builder would perform such a monumental piece of engineering, but to me it seems all wrong… So, I have to ask our readers this question: What do you think of it? According to the Parkersburg Craigslist Listing:
I have a 1950 Hudson commodore on a 79 chevy 4×4 frame. it has a built 350 turbo 400 with a 2500 stall speed and a 208 transfer case brand new 456 gears front and rear 40″ ground hawgs tires. I do have the title for the car and for the frame but its not street legal. may trade for a car or truck.
First of all, the body looks to be in great shape, so using it as a starting point for this project seems to be a waste of a good Hudson. Looking at the interior shots tells another story, as it probably needed everything to get it back into decent shape. The truck chassis seems to be built for serious mud-plugging, if you’re into that. Asking price for this piece of Redneck Engineering is $3,800. See the listing here, and tell me if you think this is a bitchin’ ride or not…
