Here we go on the Sunday Edition of the Hooniverse Weekend, and I thought I would open up with a car built in Britain 45 years ago. The fact that this car isn’t just a pile of iron oxide is amazing in itself, and it probably should be saved, but are you the person who will bring this car back? 
According to the Craigslist Listing:
car was built by the Rootes group under the chrysler badge and imported by the same. this car came with a 1725 cc engine or a 260 V 8 which can be bolted directly in. this car has a 1725 with a full synchro trans and power discs up front and a posi rear end. this car runs and drives quite well and has the brakes, fuel system redone as well as tuned and is fun to drive. have most everything for it. the tires are new on the front and good on the rear. it is a restoration project car, but its very rare and worth the effort.
There are no images for the interior, and it looks like there will be at least some rust remediation needed, but the asking price seems fairly reasonable at $2,000. Remember, this buys you a running British Coupe that I haven’t seen is quite a while, but it will take a lot of work to get right. Or you could simply sell off items, and run it at the next 24-Hours-of-LeMons event. I’m sure Judge Phil is always looking for cars from the Rootes Group to run in the event… See the listing here, and tell me what you would do with this Sunbeam.
