Cadillac has jumped up its full-size SUV into an insane performance space. This is the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V and it’s the most powerful, most expensive, and quickest version of the big rig ever made. Lift the hood and you’ll find a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that produces 682 horsepower and 653 lb-ft of torque. This is enough power to let this thing rip of 0-60 mile per hour dashes in less than 4.4 seconds. You can dispatch a quarter-mile blitz in under 13 seconds.
The style gets blacked-out trim, revised fascias front and rear, and 22-inch aluminum wheels. Those brakes you see peeking out up front? They are Brembo units with a rotor larger than 16 inches and a six-piston caliper setup. Slide inside and Cadillac put on a tech and entertainment display via the 38″ curved OLED screen and 36-speaker AKG sound system.
Everything about this beast is a bit outrageous including the price tag. The 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V starts at $149,990. And if you need more room, the automaker will build an ESV version as well. These are limited run models but Cadillac isn’t saying exactly what that means.
Regardless, these are ridiculous things that will… probably also be quite a bit of fun if you have an empty highway unfurled ahead of you.
So absurd, I love it.
