The Grand Tour heads into the freezing North for A Scandi Flick

By Jeff Glucker Sep 1, 2022

The Grand Tour returns this September with a pretty darn perfectly titled adventure called A Scandi Flick. In the latest trip, Richard Hammond, James May, and Jeremy Clarkson are tasked with trials while staying up in the Arctic Circle. So you can expect to find seriously cold weather mixed with rally car excellence. And the trailer below shows off that there should be plenty of that in store.

As for the vehicles at play, it looks like we have a Mitsubishi Evo, Subaru WRX STI, and… an Audi RS4. Now, the RS4 is honestly the most fun choice of the three. It has one of the best engine notes out there, and you pair that with the all-wheel-drive setup and a proper set of tires, and you’re in business. Of course, there’s always the question of reliability with that one as well.

Still, this lineup of cars paired with this backdrop and these three wonderful goons should prove to deliver on an entertaining time. It’s the same formula, but it’s a formula that works. And I know I’ll be tuning in to check it out once it goes live on Amazon Prime on September 16th.

  1. Hey, I’ve been to many of these locations. The last time Top Gear visited Atlanterhavsveien in 2017, they drove so much faster than allowed, media wrote about it for ages, despite the producers having acquired the license to do so. In any case, surprised to see how old Jeremy Clarkson looks, I haven’t watched any of this for years (as it’s not available to non-subscribers).
