If you’ve been here long enough, you know that I don’t ride a motorcycle. Still, I’m bike-curious and love looking at well-crafted custom machines or factory-made bits of awesome. The two-wheel aesthetic that speaks to me most often, besides the Dakar-inspired stuff like the Africa Twin, is that Scrambler/Cafe look. I know it’s trendy, or it was and is now gone… I don’t follow bike trends, but I still love it. This particular find on Craiglist this morning seems to pull off the vibe really well. It’s a custom Honda 750 that was once a Nighthawk and is now much more… by being a little less?
Per the seller, this bike runs essentially perfectly. It wears its 33k miles well with nary a leak nor a rough start. The leatherwork on the seat and bags looks excellent. When new, a stock Nighthawk 750 ranged from just under $4k up to nearly $6k as it ran through its production cycle. The asking price of $4,300 for this example could be slightly high, but it definitely looks fantastic as it sits. It might not be high, I truly don’t know the market for bikes.
I do know; I like how this one looks, though… Here’s the link to the full listing: https://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/mcy/d/san-diego-1998-honda-750-custom/7798675552.html
