Last Call: Transported to a world of pinstripes

By Jeff Glucker Dec 3, 2019

Occasionally Twitter can be used for good. Case in point is the tweet below, which shows off one of the raddest custom car-custom transporter combos I’ve come across. Well, I only came across it because Friend of Hooniverse Alex Nunez saw it first and then retweeted it.

Yes. It was worth posting this twice.

Last Call indicates the end of Hooniverse’s broadcast day. It’s meant to be an open forum for anyone and anything. Thread jacking is not only accepted, it’s encouraged.

      1. It’s certainly…unique. The vision of the sort of person that posts screenshots from their phone instead of getting the actual photos off of the phone.

  1. I was distracted by Mr Vivid Cloud of War’s twitter handle being spelt incorrectly, with a “t” at the end. I mean, oops!

Cool transporter combos are always cool though

  2. I like the colors and the talent is evident, but it’s too busy for my tastes. Is it wrong that I think the truck is cooler than the car?

        1. I’m basing that on the sponsors represented at the bottom of the picture. Avery Dennison makes the wrap supplies.

The truck is definitely cooler than the car. When I see yet another deuce coupe my eyes glaze over. They’re so conventional; it’s a hot rod cliché.

          1. My thoughts exactly on the ’32. My interest in automobiles isn’t piqued until the early 40s.

    1. That looks like it’d inspire Elon to develop the stealth mode that speaks to both his desire for the headlines and his probable paranoia about a populist uprising coming for Silicon Valley’s new Gilded class (see also their whole bioweapon-filtering climate control system).

    1. I’ve still to find that one yet, definitely on my wanted list. I was just thinking the opposite direction though, the transporter and hot rod in the article is just crying out to be made for Hot Wheels Team Transport series.

  3. Something about matched livery like this is just cool. I think I’m beginning to understand this concept of “accessorizing”.
