Last Call: This is the perfect vehicle

By Kamil Kaluski Sep 18, 2019

It’s got classic BMW looks, Toyota reliability, ample room for six, mid-engine chassis design, and is available with all wheel drive and a manual transmission. So yea, this is, in fact, the perfect vehicle.

Last Call indicates the end of Hooniverse’s broadcast day. It’s meant to be an open forum for anyone and anything. Thread jacking is not only accepted, it’s encouraged.

  1. It also ran when parked? Awesome that Last Call is back!

There’s a website that works as a national, digital museum archive here in Norway. I just discovered that if you look for car brands, it shows old photos, actual cars in car museums, toys etc. Quite entertaining:

  2. I would have never guessed that BMW pieces would actually work on a Previa, but that’s cool in a bloated, porcine sort of way. Too bad the engines are weak even in supercharged trim. Might be fun with a mild lift and overland theme.

    1. I’m not sure any BMW pieces save perhaps the kidney grilles were troubled in the creation of this?

Also – too perfect to drive?

        1. I was thinking E46. I think the grilles are E46 (they look identical to the ones on my coupe), but you may be right about the headlights.

          Either way, it’s surprisingly successful.

          1. They could very well be E46 parts. Definitely that era. Regardless, it’s just rare that anyone builds a convincing fascia out of mismatched parts, and this one pulls it off. I don’t care much for the oversized bumper skirt, and the car is way too low for my liking, but I like to see people make interesting rides out of cars that wouldn’t normally get a second glance.

          2. The headlights are definitely E39, the E46 headlights have scallops on the bottom. The grille frames are wider than the E39, I think they’re E46. Also, this seems to be the only image of this thing on the internet. I hope it’s not a photoshop.

And yes, I wasted 15-20 minutes of my life Google image searching all of this.

          3. I’d initially thought the headlights looked too wide to be E39, but why would you make custom ones rather than adjust your custom hood to suit?
