Pump
He’s lucky that it’s only flat on one side.

  1. I just went to see furious 7 with my daughter. It was mostly just before unbelievable but in a kinda believable way. The ending was definatly a bit on the teary side but a good tribute non the less. The last fast movie I watched in theater was the first one and 7 will probably be the last as I don’t think it’ll be the same.

  2. Time normally required for a specific automotive repair: (x) hours
Time spent repairing senseless butchery inflicted by former owner and/or knucklehead who masqueraded as a mechanic: multiply above hourly figure by 3.
I went to replace the in-tank fuel pump on my 240 today, and began to ponder: WHY did they hack out the factory hard plastic high pressure return line and replace it with an inadequate 1/4″ rubber fuel line when all they really had to do was loosen a threaded union? WHY did they jam said rubber line onto barbed connectors intended for the hard plastic line and then affix over-tightened worm drive clamps? WHY, considering the crushed, crumbling state of the rubber line, did my car not self-immolate before now? WHY couldn’t I quit cussing this afternoon? I only have an answer for that last one.

    1. Now this is a fun game: guess what 240! Here’s what I came up with:
      Mercedes 240 (E, D)
      Volvo 240
      Nissan 240 (SX)
      Datsun 240 (Z)
BMW 240 (I think this exists, I lost the overview over BeemerWorks’ palette)
      More, anyone?

      1. There can be only one 240! Or only one without any D, Z or SX suffixes, anyway (it’s a Volvo). Alphabet soup is silly. I mean, how cool would it have been if they’d still used “Amazon” at that point?

  3. “You mustn’t be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling. …although, on occasion, it is possible to dream a bit too big.”

    1. I felt let down when the 6$ headline turned into 600$ in the text. That’s….like…a hundred times as much, man!
Also, I doubt it “goes anywhere”. Public roads for instance. Great find!

        1. Are you saying they would…um…look the other way? Would there be an end to the discussion, or only beginnings? Is this going anywhere anyway?
