  1. Some off topic topics that have piqued my interest this evening:
    <img src="http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-apps/imrs.php?src =http://img.washingtonpost.com/news/in-sight/wp-content/uploads/sites/35/2015/01/2015-01-13T121103Z_01_PXP01_RTRIDSP_3_AUTOSHOW-DETROIT-WIDERIMAGE.jpg&w=480" width=600>
    The Washington Post has a <a href="http:// http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/in-sight/wp/2015... target=”_blank”>photo essay of abandoned cars in Detroit, I believe saying something about the dichotomy of the town's revival, especially in regards to the big auto show versus these cars about town.
    My take away? I want to drive up there and buy some $100 cars. Just add wheels for instant fun!

    Over on the lovely Craigslist, a fellow has a 1970 Honda N600 microcar – rust free and ready for restoration – $2000. He also says "Slight detail – the engine sits in the passenger seat."
    And there is no title. Is something like this really worth two grand? I have no idea.

    Finally, offered without comment, this motorhome.

  3. Facts time: Norway's most sold cars of 2014:

    The cars in the link have been tested by my local paper, "terningkast 6" means "throw of the dice 6" – which is the highest value a car can achieve in a test. And, yes, the tested XC60 really was priced at 158000$. All. The. Taxes. From the article:
    – The share of diesel cars fell from 52.8% in 2013 to 48.8% in 2014 – a significant drop.
    – 11565 hybrids were registered in 2014, up 18.1% from 2013. 8% marked share. 1678 of these hybrids were plugins.
    – 18094 zero emissions cars were registered in 2014, up 129.5% from 2013.
    Next?

      1. A fantastic article! I agree with Atkinson, that the F1 is the ultimate supercar. It's a thing of beauty, and a testament to great design and engineering. Gordon Murray is a genius.
