It must be another Monday because it’s time for another Classic Caption Contest here at Hooniverse. To review, I search for images that were used by the car companies in their advertising or brochures, and it is your job to provide a well thought out (or not) humorous caption that is tied in with the image. This week you are all playing for another Hartford Freightliner Cap that I received some time ago ago. So this would be a great time for you all to participate in our little game.
Last weeks image was of a handsome German Couple and their daughter and most comments were very funny and well thought out. An example of this is from our good friend Feds_II, who submitted this winning caption: “”Why am I smiling? Most men buy a large car to compensate for what they lack. My husband drives an Isetta” “MOM!””
Congratulations Feds_II. E-mail me on where to send your prize.
It’s now time to take a look at this weeks illustration. It is a Advertising image for the 1959 Chevrolet Corvette featuring a lovely young lady behind the wheel of the ‘Vette talking with the captain of the local collage scull racing team.
You have the next five days to come up with a great caption. The editors will deliberate the merits of each entry, with the best one awarded this weeks prize. So show us what you got.
