JR Hildebrand wanted to run a Dallara IndyCar up Pike’s Peak in 2021. Those plans got pushed back and he’s set to line up with the open-wheel machine for the 2022 event. It should be a wicked run up the hill with the skilled pilot behind the wheel. It got me thinking about all the other crazy things we could see run up the hill though, as well.
You’ve got a variety of Tesla’s taking it to the top. There’s always a smattering of Porsches. And some great focused Time Attack cars as well. But what else would you like to see conquer the insanity that is the Pike’s Peak International Hill Climb?
Personally, I think JR should do an exhibition lap in his gorgeous Cadillac with the bike mounted to the top:

Now that it is paved, it would be cool to see a shootout from as many high level motorsport classes as possible, everything from Formula E to World of Outlaws (presuming you could build one to turn right as well as it does left). What about that one off LeMans prototype that Porsche built to around shattering lap records everywhere?
Nah, just leave the outlaw car as is. It’d be hilarious to watch it fly around each left hander and creep awkwardly around each right hander
