Ryan Tuerck’s Formula Supra build is chugging along wonderfully. The reimagined GR Supra now has a set of beefy Brembo brakes, a fuel filler, and the carbon body panels have been given a fresh look. It all goes down in the latest installment in this build series. Click play below to check it out.
I’m a fan of the move to take off the sheen of the carbon panels. They look a bit better with the dryer clear sprayed over them. I’m curious if Tuerck plans on painting parts of the car, as it likely needs sponsor livery. But it will be very cool to see them mix any livery into the dry carbon and I hope a fair bit of that carbon is left naked. There are lots of ways to have a lot of fun with this car when it heads to paint or if it gets wrapped, which may be the more likely option.
Regardless, we’re closing in on the day when this will be fired up and ripped around a race course.
They’re getting pretty close on the big stuff. I’d be having nightmares about installing the headers on that thing, but maybe there’s a trick up their sleeves that I’m not anticipating.
