  • V.I.S.I.T. – 1978 BMW 323i in as-new condition

I don’t think it’s unfair to say this 1978 BMW E21 323i isn’t far from being in as-new condition. Reportedly a Japanese import, it only has a mere 91 000 km on the clock and displays no wear anywhere that I could see. Spotted on the street, in tender May sunshine, it looked irresistible –…

I spotted this 1994 Toyota MR2 on the parking lot of a local hardware store. Yellow cars aren’t too common here, and anything yellow is sure to stand out like an exclamation mark… in yellow. It’s only the base 152-horse 2.0GT SW20 model, but seems useable enough for targa topless summer driving.

  • 1970 Plymouth Duster in glorious brown

I saw this 1970 Duster last Sunday on the parking lot of the newly opened local hypermarket. Since everything around it is dusty and brown after the winter, it sort of suits the scenery extremely well. Dusters have actually been relatively popular around here, in the hooning crowd. Check this survivor out.

Hello Hoons: It’s been a few weeks month since the last time we did one of these V.I.S.I.T. posts. My life has been a bit crazy and I simply have not been able to get around to posting all the interesting stuff you have sent in. Without further excuses, we have interesting stuff today: Top…

I don’t think there’s a place in the world where a Cadillac will blend in. Well, except for maybe Florida. Still, I’m sure this 1960 Cadillac Coupé de Ville will always be noticed wherever it parks, no matter what’s around it. It’s not pink like the one I saw some time earlier, but this pin-striped…

Picture this: you’re a police officer in a small suburban Illinois town. You’re patrolling the streets, keeping your friends and neighbors safe from whatever evil lurks underneath the neat suburban surface. You believe in justice, equality, and the essential goodness of man. You love your wife, your children, your family, and America – the greatest…

Last Truck Thursday, I featured a very beaten and used Mercedes-Benz Geländerwagen. It had also been lifted, and it looked like it could make short work of quite a bit of sticks. This Thursday, I’m posting a final-year XJ Cherokee I saw last week in my town, and it too features larger rubber than stock,…

This past weekend, while uploading a few hundred pictures from a trip to the LeMay auto museum (stay tuned), I found a few leftovers from my vacation to O’ahu that I forgot to share. Shame on me! Two of the days I spent on O’ahu were in Hale’iwa on the North Shore. It’s a cool…

Slow and steady, the snow dunes are receding in my neck of the woods and the sun comes out. The spring has been uncharacteristically late here, and I still wouldn’t want to swap on summer rubber, so not to end up in a ditch one night. However, what progress there is, is surely helped by…

This is my debut post for V.I.S.I.T; a series best left to the Hooniverse A-Team who keep it nourished with offbeat oddities and curious conveyances with consummate ease. For me, well, in this neck of the woods it’s a struggle to find much that isn’t miserably mundane. Until this weekend. The sun came out for…
