Welcome to the Hooniverse Weekend Edition, where I comb through suggestions, and try and post them here for your enjoyment. We received this tip from Michael (Thanks Man!) about a weird looking Ford Bronco Prerunner that he found on Craigslist while looking for a Bronco. So, what do you think of it?

According to the listing:

1989 bronco,4X4, 5.0 v8, Autofab quad shock front end, dual king 2.5 rear w/national springs, auto ,OD,AC,4.11 with locker, full cage front to rear. I know it looks strange but it works great.

Mating a 1994-2000 Dodge front end to a 89 vintage Bronco looks strange, and not all that well executed, with a huge panel gap showing on the drivers side. The asking price for this creation is $7,800. Yes, that is correct… $7,800! Take a look here to see if you might be interested in it…

  1. On the driver's side, they took off the Bronco fender, while on the passenger side, they just cut it back. Maybe the driver's side was more heavily damaged, like an offset rear-ender. Also, it's technically not a prerunner if it's four-wheel-drive is it? I thought prerunners were by definition 2WD.

    1. In common language "Prerunner" = lifted 2wd desert truck.
Oddly enough, the trucks that race teams actually use to pre-run a route are typically 4wd as they're better equipped to deal with varying conditions and route-finding exercises.
One of those terms that's not really worth getting worked up about a specific definition.

  2. So, every Ford in the junkyard has a smashed front end? I, for one, applaud the plywood dash.

  3. I like the interior, distrust the cage, am a bit stunned by the ill-advised nose swap, and raised both eyebrows as high as they go at that price. I mean, for a couple grand it'd be cool, but… really, guy? Really?

  4. Ever play the computer game Impossible Creatures? Yea, neither did anybody else, because most of your creations felt vaguely like this.
