Continuing on with our labor Day Weekend Edition, and look at what I discovered lurking close by (on Cape Cod no less)… This is a 1980 Plymouth Arrow Pickup, which was a badge engineered version of the Dodge D50 Pickup, which are both derived from the Mitsubishi Forte Pickup at the time. The Arrow Pickup was only available between 1979 and 1982, and many of them have long since turned into Chinese Appliances or Iron Oxide, and not many are left… According to the Craigslist listing:
Beautiful Truck! ALL Original inside and out! Under 19k Original miles!! It’s a HEMI!!! Garage Kept for over 30 years. MUST HAVE for collectors.. Please contact me for more information or if you have any questions.
Since this is a very short listing, I will fill in from here. These trucks had two different engines available, the 2 litre generating 93HP, and the one that may be in this truck, the 2.6L that produced 105HP. This particular truck has the Automatic transmission, so expect acceleration times to be leisurely at best. It really is a time capsule, but would you want it? Asking price for this rather rare pickup is $9,500, and for once, I think that’s about right. With so few miles (19,000), and with practically no rust, there isn’t many left. See the Cape Cod Craigslist listing here, and tell me what you think about this rather magnificent little truck…
