Continuing on with the Weekend Edition, where I troll around Facebook, Craigslist, Auto Trader, and eBay for vehicles that I think are worth mentioning, and I hope you think so as well. Here is probably one of my favorite Full Sized Bruisers of the 70’s, the Plymouth Fury Coupe. This one has received a lot of TLC over the past couple of years, and it is now up for sale… It needs some more love, but at what price? According to the Craigslist Listing:
1971 Fury 111, 318 Poly with a freshly rebuilt transmission . 42 k on the clock I believe it was rebuilt a few years ago. I am the 3rd owner the 2nd owner had it since the 80’s. It has factory A/C , front disc , All new interior – headliner – and custom dash ( not cushioned, hard fiberglass ) Battery, shocks and exhaust Dynaflo, Painted 16 months ago canceled out the radio antenna. The Bad – chip in the windshield, all gauges work sometimes , the hideaway headlights is missing the relay , I just pulled the heater core it needs replacing as does the vacuum heater valve, the AC needs charging. No radio or speakers. Rusted out trunk pan – I live a mile from the beach and have noticed a few little bubbles starting to creep up. I have had this car for about 2 years now. I was using it as a daily driver, it gets great gas milage when driven like an old woman. Great tires, Very very reliable.
This is no muscle car, but it probably sounds like one with the 318, and the special exhaust setup. Asking price for this full sized Plymouth is $8,000, which isn’t really a lot of money for what you get. Yes, it is a small V8, but the interior is done, the A/C can be fixed, and you can drop in a killer sound system yourself. Just look at it… Why not take a look at the LA Craigslist Listing Here, and tell me you don’t want this early 70’s Mopar!
