The Super73-Z Miami is the evolution of the brand’s entry-level electric bike. It is an improvement over the original Z1 based on feedback from Super73 customers. You have more power, a removable battery, and a greater range. And it starts at just under $2,000.

I still prefer the more expensive RX lineup of bikes. But this is a great option for those looking to spend less and who don’t care about suspension, lights, and need more power.

    I don’t think your daughter is wearing enough helmet for a bike that can go as fast as that one. Something full-face, like a BMX helmet would be better.

      Yeah, that’s fair. We mostly just cruised pretty easily, but your point is valid.
      Still, probably better than “The Teens” I see ripping around neighborhoods on Surons at 40 with no helmets… shit is crazy.

        When my sister was in second grade, she was riding her bike and made a right turn at an intersection. While she was looking left/behind her for traffic, she wasn’t looking where she was going, and didn’t notice an obstruction in the road. She was probably only 2 mph when she hit it, but lost control of her bike, and ended up splitting her chin open. A trip to the clinic resulted in seven stitches.

        After a week or so, per doctor’s orders we returned to the Urgent Care facility to have the stitches removed. A different doctor was on duty that night. That second doctor said he had never seen such fine suture work. As it turns out, the doctor who sewed her up was a moonlighting plastic surgeon. My sister was very fortunate that her mishap fell on the right schedule; the skilled surgeon put them in and the removal could have been handled by just about anyone.

        About five years later, I had a bike mishap that resulted in a 5-day hospital stay and two rounds of oral surgery back then, plus some longer term dental problems. If I had a helmet with mouth protection that day, I still would have had broken bones, but some of the other damage would not have been as severe.

        I would hate for those no-helmet teens in your ‘hood to be injured, but that’s not very much within your control, and you likely aren’t responsible for their medical expenses. On the other hand, if your daughter needs medical attention, you’re going to be the one sitting with her in the waiting room trying to convince her that her injury isn’t fatal, and then 60 days later you’re going to be the one trying to make sense of the bills. An ounce of prevention…

          Your point is well taken, not that any helmet is going to help much with a split chin.

          However, I’ve had a few pretty bad spills on my road bicycle going around the speeds that you’re doing on that sexy little rig. My helmet saved my noggin (which is hard enough anyway, LOL) each time so, teaching good helmet habits is definitely a priority!
