Some serious saves at the Goodwood Revival

Much like the Festival of Speed before it, we can’t help but devour every bit of video that arrives from Goodwood. Earlier today we showed you a pair of open-wheel racers dicing it up. Now it’s time to look at some tremendous (and tremendously lucky) saves.

There are five of them displayed in the video above, and each one will have you cringing just a bit harder than the one before it. Worry not though, as these are saves and not the top crashes from the event.

That was amazing. That green Mini sliding off the tracks while much heavier machinery makes it through leaves me baffled though…what happened there to start with?

Haha I scrutinized the same point in the clip, too. It looks like the Mini just went into the corner WAY too fast. It seems to be still accelerating when the other cars are braking.

Only a British commentator would comment that “Bill Strope would be pleased…” Carry on chaps.

From experience I can certainly relate to the “driving a ’64 Mercury Comet” part of this.
