Ryan Tuerck is swapping a Judd V10 into his GR Supra

By Jeff Glucker Oct 15, 2020

Pro Drifter Ryan Tuerck made news when he swapped a 4.5-liter V8 engine from a Ferrari 458 into a Toyota GT86. Now he’s cooked up a far more interesting swap (though that other one was pretty rad too). Tuerck is taking the straight-six out of his A90 GR Supra and popping in something a bit racier. Power will now be provided by a Judd GV4 V10 racing engine.

Hells.Fucking.Yes.

If you’re not familiar, Judd has been making the best engines on the planet for some time now. They deliver amazing power, rev to the moon, and sound wicked. The GV4 used here is a 4.0-liter V10 that produces 750 horsepower and revs to 11,000 rpm. It weighs very nearly the same as the BMW B58 that was under the hood prior. And it also has a rebuild interval of 3,000 km, but we’re not expecting this to be a road-trip machine.

The full build reveal happens on October 18th and you can catch it on Ryan’s YouTube channel, we assume. Otherwise, we will share more details of this car once we see them. For now, though, I think we can all agree that this is one glorious engine swap.

  1. 3000 kms rebuild interval? faints

Anyway, that straight six ought to find a new home, too. I’d watch the “check out my Supra-powered Tercel”-follow up.
