The San Marino Motor Classic is on, and this 1929 Ruxton Roadster is one of the more spectacular cars on display.
More pics next week.

Those Ruxtons are crazy cars. Gotta go find that picture of the crazy striped one.
-
I couldn't find the one I was thinking of (multiple horizontal stripes of different colors), but here's another one:

hooray Ruxtons and their early FWD adventurousness!

Here's one in red.

Incredibly sleek for its day. And a car I've barely heard of.

"People Pleaser" due to its pimptastic looks?

Ruxtons are CCCA ™ Full ™ Classics ™.
Just think of the fun to be had pulling into a CCCA event full of Rolls Royces, Packards, V12 and V16 Cadillacs. The striped paint job would be a poke in the eyes, and considering how few still exist (20? 30? nothing definitive on the net, just estimates) it's not like you're going to see a dozen of your same car at the event…
I love, love, love the tall skinny Woodlite turn signals that match the headlights. There's gotta be a barn with an unknown and restorable survivor Ruxton inside, somewhere out there… -
"It was a one-eyed one-horned flying purple…"

At least they will see you coming in this one.

Ah dammit! I forgot about the car show! Oh well, I didn't wake up until 2-ish on Sunday anyways.
