I wrote a short story primer recently that involved the "road train" almost exactly as Mr. Lutz described it — the main difference is that in my little futureverse, ICEs were still the primary propulsion and there were various speed lanes for which your vehicle would be certified, topping out at 200mph.
Heinlein fans might be able to pinpoint the source of my inspiration.
That was great! I agreed with pretty much everything he said.
Having never previously heard Mr. Lutz's voice, yeah I know, he sounded just as I thought a cigar smoking pilot would sound. Kinda like my Uncle Frank.
