I am not going to say alot because it seems like the more we say, the easier it is for you lot.
What I will say is that I procured this photo from she-who-has-yet-to-be-named. She took this photo as the co-pilot in a rally race. And that is in-fact a state trooper you see in the photo. And for the record, this is a most excellent photo IMO.

Pantera
I first thought Alpine A310. Then Pantera, but Panteras don't have round mirrors…
Some have. Looking at the pics it seems that more or less every Pantera has different kind of mirrors. I even found one with E34 5-series units. Ugly.
A friend of mine is lucky enough to have a Mangusta. He said when they were being imported, there was no specific style or location for the mirrors. They just stuck them on wherever, depending on who was doing it that day.
the King's Pantera does…

That was my immediate thought, too.
I thought Pantera as well. And when I googled, I found this gem:

Wonder how long that sticker's been on the rear tire.

God. It is not an NSX. It will never be an NSX. I should probably resolve to give up guessing NSX.

I can't wait for the day when it IS an NSX…
No. Don't give up. Because even when it's not an NSX, we still get some heavy, hardcore NSX pr0n.
Some day, man. Some day.
Is this post semi-secret, accessible only through 'last comments' section? Doesn't show up homepage otherwise….
Anyway, wanted to post my best mirror-pic, from my first and last visit to west coast of USA in 2005:

Whats the story of (imho a bit stupid) mirror texts? They are needed only in US, somebody sued some car manufacturer or why they are there?
because we are dumb, fat Americans that need dumb labels because convex lenses are hard.
My best (or the only I can find) of a window shot taken enroute from ID to UT. I have the luck of knowing what this car is so I shall keep ze mouf shut…

nibbler eated your photo (at least on my browser) perhaps we should do a best of "mirror shots"
GAH I was trying to fix it when you commented and now I can't edit! 😛 Didn't know Intense Debate did that. Buggery…

P.P.S. Also a best of Shots from the Passenger Seat would be cool – I have an amazing one I took hanging out Speed's window on the way to the track.
I retract my previous comment and continue on like nothing ever happened.

Definitely a Pantera. Check this photo, and compare it with the vent behind the window in the rear-view pic…

I don't know what the car in the picture is but I bet there is a Crown Victoria not far from it…
PS: If you post the same picture over at Atomic Toasters, you could ask what kind of lens and camera was used…
I so want to do a "mystery gadget" over there! Hmmmm

please tell me that is not an H3 you are piloting…
Could maybe be an HHR. Pick your poison. 🙂
I like the HHR. There, I said. (Finally able to exhale.)
Someday, after the statute of limitations is up, I'll type up my HHR story.
/I liked it. But it was seriously, crazily abused.
I'm guessing it's a Nissan Xterra.

I think we need another clue. How about you tell us the rally during which the traffic stop occurred?
Watch out for bears!
