Our friends at Autoweek love muscle cars just as much as we do. That’s why they found a muscle car compilation video that just focuses on the glorious noise made by some of our favorite machines. This is a great way to roll into the week.
Pop in your headphones, hit play, and make short work of those annoying TPS reports stacking up on your desk.
Besides the noise though, it’s great to see a few muscly machines located outside of our country. There’s a 442 wearing Czech plates. The Charger at the beginning looks to be rolling in another country. A General Lee Charger is also being trotted out in a land where it wasn’t born.
My favorite shot in the video though, has to be the Mercury Monarch firing up as snow falls softly around it.
Muscle Monday: Prepare your ears for action

Lovely. Here’s one video I remember from long before easy video sharing(never mind youtube) existed.. but of course it’s on youtube now. This was back when many people didn’t have access to the intertubes and if you wanted car videos you had to spend the better part of a day downloading a 30s video(that might actually be virus, or worse; a celine dion mp3) from some weird site. Or you could go to car shows and buy VHS tapes or maybe even DVDs! I remember buying Getaway In Stockholm and some rubbish American drifting video at a car show. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nPF4hI_lTvE

Okay, it’s quiet… video spam?
Keeping this on topic, here’s a lovely video with a Corvette(car, not a small warship) where lovely a lady of the redheaded persuasion enjoys the fruits of some biblical acceleration. Censored/cropped on youtube because ermahgerd nerples! The original used to be on Streetfire, but i guess that’s dead now too.. A few years ago i watched this with a couple of women while under the influence of at least three alcohols and they too found it extremely, uh,stimulatinginteresting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSi5_STYWBQ -
As far as songs which starts with the glorious sounds of a muscle car go I’m going to let someone else post “Jesus Built My Hotrod”, so here’s something inspired by Ted Nugent instead https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9EZUTaCjCQg

Okay, going all retro(as far as moderns car videos are concerned) and posting this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqoaRnylGdw

My green car sounded good. Trying to get that with the new car.
-
Without watching the video(because not worky), based on the dash and green, Bullitt?
-
Not a Bullitt. I looked for one. It was a base GT in Legend Lime with the Bullitt exhaust.
Sweet ride… then I wrecked it. 🙁-
Nice! Not the wreck, obvisouly. I’ve never wrecked(as in totalled) a car as far as insurance in concerned, though i’ve had a few offs when i was younger… Sometimes i feel like having massive crash would be refreshing; like one life-changing crash wasn’t enough.
-
That day was definitely a wake up. I cried when this car was dragged up on the flat bed.
Insurance worked out and had enough for me to move some money around and buy a 2012 track pack without a payment. Its about 75% of the green car. Plenty of room to improve. -
Sometimes i wish I remembered how to cry.. It’s been at least a decade. but there’s always plenty of room to improve.

The new GT is a bit too sophistiwhatever; excellent but too quiet. A really nice car, and interesting on rather slippery winter tyres.
-
Sounds good.. Only problem is the V8 Mustang is around 80k€ around here, so about 3-4x the average shitty job yearly wage. No normal person(i.e. me) is going to afford a new Mustang without a massive loan.. Cheap econobox hell here i come!
