I don't know how common it is to use tractors for that, but at the boat repair place where we took our boat a couple months back, they use a Ford tractor as a tow vehicle. That is a pretty looking Kubota, but I like the Hew Holland Boomer 8N, the tribute to the Ford 8N:

Love them old tractors, but the International Harvester Super C is one of the best. Of course the 8N with a side distributor runs a close second.
