All European countries have biannual tech inspections, not to inspect everything, but to confirm that cars are roadworthy for another two years. It’s a strict regime, and you’d generally want to pass it first, sell the car later, if you want to have anything in return for your car.
Yesterday, this local Fiesta lost its entire rear wheel setup due to rust. The vehicle was inspected five months ago:
