Ron and I discuss the recent insanity in auction prices at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale and Mecum’s Kissimmee auction. We talk about the Daytona 24 Hour Race, answer some questions from Instagram, then give updates on our various project vehicles. The most important one? The Montero is back in action!

Some people go nuts at auctions. I can remember a raggedy Corvair convertible being towed to my mechanic’s garage. The doors wouldn’t close, which meant the body was shot. He told the tow driver to take it away. A few months later, it returned, bought at auction by a gentleman for $2200. It was worth less that 10% of that as scrap, where its next stop was.
Big money spoils everything.
