Hot off our Tatra V8-powered presses comes the newest Hoonicast, chock full o’ vitamins, minerals, and rambling stories. Pull up a chair and listen, won’t ya? This week we discuss our salt flat racer fantasies, the cars we learned to drive on, why moon hubcaps make any car better, and the mystique of work trucks. Hop on past the jump to listen.

Click the image above or this link to listen to the Hoonicast. You can also right-click and “save as.”
As always, here’s the cheat sheet providing links to some of the things we discuss in the post:
1. The video of the Darracq 25L crushing it around a track:

2. The Old Crow bellytanker
Be on the lookout the week after next for another Hoonicast!

  1. Just listened to it.
It's not 58 toggle switches, but I do find that whenever I have to drive a gas car I turn the key to ACC, check my watch, fiddle with the radio, and just generally wait for maybe 30 seconds until I remember that they don't have glow plugs.
Also, could we get a visual aid for that crazy Rambler pedal setup?

    1. It was pretty standard-issue at the time on the "lower end" cars, but I'll see what I can find!
