A few years back we tested the two-seater Honda Talon. It’s awesome and we fell in love with side-by-sides that day. Flash-forward to today and Honda has expanded the sport side of its SxS lineup with a four-seat Talon option. We got our hands on the Talon 1000X-4. It packs the same 999-cc engine as the rest of the Talon lineup, but our model also wears Fox Live Valve shocks at all four corners.
It has a dual-clutch 6-speed gearbox, a ton of suspension travel, excellent steering and brakes, and it’s even better than the two-seater because we can bring more friends along for the ride.
If you want to buy one, the four-seat Talon starts at $21,999 and the Fox Live Valve model is $23,999. Tons of dough for a toy, but perfectly in line with the segment and competition. In fact, people are spending far more than that on these things. Business is booming in the side-by-side space, and the Talon is poised to party.
[Disclaimer: Honda let us borrow a Ridgeline, a trailer, and a Talon, and we covered all of it with dust and dirt.]
