Do you like to stare at vehicles that exemplify the ideal of cars as art? Of course you do! You will be happy to know that a new automotive museum is opening up next month in Oxnard, CA.
The Mullin Automotive Museum is opening it’s doors this April to showcase impressive French beauties from the Art Deco era (1918-1941). Names such as Delahaye, Delage, Talbot-Lago, Voisin, Hispano-Suiza and Bugatti will all be available to be ogled and delight the ocular senses.
That is the interesting part. The fun part? We are going when they open their doors to bring you an up close look at these amazing rolling works of art.

Oh, and by the way, Jeff, thank you very much for your hard labor at relocating Hooniverse.com to new host servers…!
-
It was a labor of hate… I hated my computer and I only managed to get it done because Tim helped me at the end. but thank you
-
Well then I guess we owe you AND Mad_Science a debt of gratitude…!
** Thanks Guys…! ** -
Good work in getting it done. I expected this to look like (REDACTED) version whatever, would have to get used to some weird format and deal with that, but the Hoon is back and it's fine. I realize that this is due to your hard work and I appreciate it. Cheers!

I don't get the chance to comment as much as I'd like, but this place is the bee's knees. Whatever that means.
-
Yeah, what does bee's knees mean? I just want to say 'hi' and that I still have the photo of the Ford GT you took at the Woodward Dream Cruise in '08. Now I gotta do a search on bee's knees. 😉
-
I believe it's flapper-era slang for "cool". Sort of like "the cat's pajamas".
-
The flea's eyebrows.
Seriously, look it up. Madness, I say, madness!

That Delahaye at the top of this post is pure sex on wheels. Imagine seeing one of these beauties sweep through your French village way back when in 1939 when it was crafted. Most people would think that it was like something that rolled out of a dream, not an actual car that you saw on the road. Cars don't often have this kind of grace and presence and purity of line, then or now. As stunning (to me anyway) as any sculpture by Michelangelo. That's quite the lofty comparison but Figoni et Falaschi had the goods to compete that sculptor of sculptors.
-
That is the world's single most beautiful car, period. I'll brook no arguments from anyone.
-
And what a bummer to think that the Third Reich swept through that French village right after that Delahaye.
