Check out Jalopnik’s Goodwood Revival Gallery

Jalopnik’s Kristen Lee attended the 2019 Goodwood Revival. While there she snapped off a ton of great pics. Jalopnik just posted them all, and if you’re into vintage machines being pushed to the limit then you’ll like what’s over there.

From GT-40s and Cobras to E-Types and …Ogles? Kristen captured an abundance of wonderful shots. The lead image is one of my favorites but there’s a ton more to see. Head to Jalopnik to check it out.

I’ve always been curious about the Revival. Folks who’ve been to both the Revival and the Festival of Speed swear that the former is the one you want to see. I’ve only been to the Festival of Speed, but on paper that seems like the one I’d prefer. While the Revival is likely amazing, I enjoy the fact that the FOS is open to a greater range of vehicles.

Still, one day I’d like to get out to the revival and take it all in. Dressing in period correct costume would be a hoot. Mix that with the smell of fuel, noise of the engines, and the on-track action, and I can see why some would take it over the Festival of Speed.

My daughter is clearly ready to go:

Now I just need to start planning my own outfit…

I have never even heard of an Ogle SX1000 before, but that’s a cool spin on the Mini platform. And the “Site Rules” sign is hilarious.

Your girl’s a cutie– the racing suit is awesome!

It’s actually the suit the marshals wear during the Festival of Speed (and the Revival, I think).
I saw one at the FOS when I was there years ago, and didn’t pull the trigger. A PR person was back at the FOS a year later and I asked her to grab one for me. Was very thankful when she did.

It’s been suggested repeatedly over the years that the design of the Allegro was partially inspired by the Ogle, but that shot makes the strongest case I’ve seen so far:

Don’t Ogle that Mann-design to much, or you might encounter lle Agro because of perceived Harris-ment.
