You done goofed! I backtraced those wheels!
They used jack stands?! I would think it was just the owner working on the car, but in a shopping center parking lot that seems unlikely. Maybe they stole the jack stands in order to steal the wheels. They started with stealing the keys to an auto supply store. Eventually they'll work their way up to stealing a house. Sort of a One Red Paperclip of thievery.
screw my post down below… if i were graced with four free jack stands, i would proudly put my stock rims (even though they might have the winter tires on them) back on my vehicle… or hell… i'll go pick up some 25 buck a piece skinny black steelies and drive home…..
at least i've got 4 "nice" "new" jack-stands…………. right?
