A brand-new Nissan GT-R could be yours thanks to eBay Motors

The Nissan GT-R is one of my favorite cars on the planet. It’s a hate it or live it machine that polarizes automotive enthusiasts all over the globe. It’s also a car that remains out of my current price range. That isn’t to say you don’t get chances in life when it comes to things like Nissan GT-R ownership. In fact, eBay Motors wants to give a brand-new GT-R away, which means one of those chances is upon you.

All you need to do is spend a few minutes of your life joining the eBay Motors Garage. Click past the jump to learn more.

eBay is promoting its Garage social section, and they’re doing it in a big way. The Garage is a virtual place for folks to hang out and share photos of their various machines. Once you sign up and add your own car, you’ve then been entered for a chance to win the grand prize. Of course, there are also daily giveaways as well which see one $50 eBay gift car being handed out for one lucky person each day.

I’ll let Justin Bell tell you what I’m talking about, in a far more concise (and delightfully British) manner:

So that’s all you have to do for your short at winning a Nissan GT-R. The contest runs through July 4th, and eBay expects to announce the winner around July 22nd. Full contest rules can be found here.

[Disclaimer: We’re working with eBay to bring this contest to you. We’re getting paid to write this story and promote the contest. That doesn’t mean it’s not cool to tell you that you could win a friggin’ GT-R!]

  1. I met a dude this weekend with a GTR. He said that it was the first one that showed up at his local Dallas Nissan dealer.
I was impressed by the noises it made, especially as I was chasing him down the highway on the Monster. Must have been an aural treat to everyone!

    1. Well, income tax on 100k isn't exactly free… But a GTR for Camry money isn't bad either.

      1. Or take the cash prize (all US contests need the option, right?) and buy an R32 GT-R when they start becoming legal next August.

    1. I think I'm more bothered that we can't enter the Blipshift contest (not that I have an idea) than this.
That said, it's about time for a contest that the not insignificant Hoserland readership could potentially win.

  2. You know, I still think my 206k NA Miata would make for a more entertaining DD than a GT-R. Top goes down (IS down), stick shift, and I can drive it in full Hoon mode without attracting much attention. I'd love to drive one, but likely only once. The ultimate transportation computer.

  3. Funny to see the 'GTR-Meh" posts.
I had the same reaction- If I won, I'd sell it and buy a Boss and hire Van Halen to play at my birthday party.

  4. Ooh, I'll create a profile for my MG Metro!
No, that's not an option on the pull-down menus.
    Well, then, my Austin Maestro!
    Also no.
There's a motorcycle category! How about my HMV Freeway?
    Negative.
I know! I bought my KV Mini 1 on eBay back in 2007, so surely that's available?
    Curiously not.
Fine. A SAAB 96, then. I can use a shot at $50 worth of parts.
