Today, I bring you something very, very special.
As you might know, I am a huge fan of anything related to American Motors. I visited paradise… or something pretty close to it. The 2013 edition of the West Coast All AMC Car Show took place today at the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum, in Pomona, California. The show was hosted by socalamx.net, a website that lives and breathes all things Javelin and AMX, though all AMC-related cars are welcome at the show.
There were AMC products of all shapes and sizes, from a cheeky little Gremlin with a quirky interior, to AMX drag racers, and even granny’s Ambassador, with a crocheted seat topper.
The Ambassador really stood out amongst the brightly-colored Javelins and AMXs that made up a majority of the field.
This isn’t the type of classic that is normally given such love.
At the other end of the the subtleness spectrum was this awesome Jeep. I mean, just look at it. Whether or not this is great off-road is beyond me, but it sure looked the part.
This thing made me want to wave my arms in the air and shout a hearty “‘Murica!” It was imposing in person.
If this doesn’t get you excited, I really don’t know if anything else will.
I plan to make this a yearly trip. My only real complaint is that there was not a SINGLE Pacer. For shame.
