2013 NYIAS: Ford needs to offer this finish

2013 NYIAS 003

This naked truck is not wearing paint. Instead, it’s showing off its brushed panels with not a care in the world. It looks rather excellent and I think Ford should offer it as an optional “color” choice. There was another vehicle in the same finish, check it out below.

It works here as well.

  1. A way out of the crisis for car producers? Option 1: Paint. Then think about wheels, chairs…it's a gold mine!

    1. Only one problem: doesn't meet the standards for CL CS entry. I'm pretty sure that one isn't a runner.

  2. Cool display of the structural integrity for which Ford Motor Company has a well deserved reputation.

  3. I think they are taking the whole "base model" thing a little too far. I guess this way they can advertise a new 4 door full size truck for $14,999.

      1. I've often wondered if the assembly line has a special Caesarean section exit for these to come out. Their heads look pretty big.

  4. They could sell this one to the eco-friendly crowd since it has no paint. You know how they love their pickups. 😛
