We all know industrial-grade diesels make incredible amounts of low-speed torque. Liebherr decided to hold a whole different object lesson on torque. Jump for the video.

As far as we know, he’s still up there.
…Spice Girls?
I would've wetten, and I would've verloren.
oh Germans
I cannot think of a circumstance that would make me think, "I should climb a tower with a track-hoe."
It turns out, however, that the result of this idea is awesome, and the inclusion of the Spice Girls adds the right dimension of weirdness.
I agree, there's absolutely no reason to do this. However, as a friend once said in a different situation: "Do need a reason to shoot a deer with a cannon?"
Wow. That CAT-skinner is good. I guess this guy would be a Lieb-skinner?
As awesome as this is, I somehow suspect that OSH, MSHA and the like would frown upon such adventures here in the US.
Hey! Hey buddy! You fergot yer hard hat!
/ dont wanna get fined
OK….so let's see him get back down.
Glad Liebherr resisted the urge to unfurl a banner reading "Suck it, Caterpillar!" once he made it to the top.
That video reminds me of my grandfather, who also operated heavy equipment and smelled of Old Spice.
Those crazy Germans. Always trying to prove to the world that everything they do is better. Caterpillar is currently ignoring this obvious challenge, and just dominating the market.
I think this was shot in the US: http://www.heavyequipmentforums.com/Forum/attachm…

I bet the Spice Girls liked the spinning disco tracks at the end.
