As well as European cars, American sports cars were plentiful at the Sportscar Breakfast Club. And some of them were quite special indeed, like this Yenko-Bondurant-Guldstrand replica Corvette.
Seriously, if there ever was an event where I’d take the Hooniversalist that is John the longrooffan, this would be it. I’d more than happily buy him a cup of coffee too.
And that Vette wasn’t the only racing-liveried Corvette, as seen here with the 1972 one. I can’t tell which one I like more.
That paint job is just so good. It accentuates the shark-like shape perfectly.
This shot captures the event perfectly: the whole area full of extremely interesting cars from all around the world. All in all, there were 130 vehicles at the breakfast.
More brown C3 Corvette goodness. It’s a good shade for a Vette, makes it look like a bullet.
From Corvettes to GTOs; these aren’t too common here. I think this yellow example is the first one I’ve seen this close.
And you know it’s going to have a tow bar, too. Detachable, though, but you can see the mount.
This Banditesque Trans Am was driven there with the whole family aboard. Burbling off the roadside, it sounded great.
This Mustang had the perfect amount of use and patina on it. I’d dare drive it anywhere, and it’s the best colour combination and shape in my opinion, from the 1st gen cars.
Blue interior suits it best, I believe.
Back to the Corvettes: the back end of a C4.
Tasteful in every respect, down to the pin-up card hanging from the vents.
This black C4 was just ratty enough to pull the look off. It looked like an action hero car: build for business, not for polishing.
And it had red leather, too, for the complete ’80s look.
Stay tuned for more.

I need to attend this event…
Indeed. It is paramount. Even if the coffee is only adequate and the croissants on the stale side.
I warmly welcome you guys there – just drop me a line when you happen to be around. 😀
Just so that it doesn't pass uncommented on ,plus one or plus two,17" wheels and low profile,(but not too low profile), tyres seem to have become accepted as the new normal. More room for the big brake upgrade and a better choice of quality rubber for actual driving as opposed to onanistic showing off.
On a car like a C3, they work, as they mesh well with the fender flares.
They're a stretch on smaller cars like a Mustang with stock fenders.
Whoa, Botany 500 – outfitter to all the coolest '60s TV private eyes.

Dude: This show looks absolutely wonderful. I would be hoonered to attend this one with you. Just that pesky plane ride is in the way.
