A few weeks ago, this olelongrooffan was out and about and spotted this cool and somewhat rare old Willys sedan for sale.
I had to capture a couple images of it to share with my fellow Hoons. This is the first one I believe this olelongrooffan has ever seen.
How about you?

Looks nice! Only other one I've seen was in the junkyard.
One of my brothers has one of these which he's owned for several decades. He let me "drive" it once when I was a little kid by sitting on his lap and turning the wheel as we went slowly along a back road. I immediately headed for the ditch. That was about forty years ago; he hasn't let me drive it since.
So owning obscure cars is somehow genetic? : )
Not necessarily, as I'm adopted. One more datum on the age-old question of nature versus nurture.
Eccentricity is, I think, more often cultural so maybe it is nurture.I hope for my childrens sake ,anyway. : )
Im 65 years old and certainly the first one Ive ever seen, or at least seen, and knew what I was looking at. Lines are somewhat reminiscent of a 50s era Opel, albeit scaled up probably 125%.
If I squint right, it bears a lot of resemblance to a Volvo Amazon/122
Perhaps one of the Brazilian commenters has seen one more recently. It seems that a restyled (by Brooks Stevens, I gather) Aero was on sale there as late as 1967 http://storm.oldcarmanualproject.com/adswillys196… The limousine version shown in the brochure is quite nice-looking.
Nice looking car!
OT- Clarkson raves about the £35k Toyobaro then can't be bothered with the £35k Shelby GT500?
Really?
Want want want want want want want!!!
My uncle had a couple of them, a 2dr and a 4dr. They went for about $300 each at his estate auction a few years ago. Cheap considering they were complete and the glass and bodies were good. They'd been outdoors for many years and were covered with lichen. Cute but not my cup of tea.
One of the reasons my older brother, Bus-Plunge is letting his stuff go now..He realizes the value of it.
My father bought a 1954 Willys in 1955. He traded it for a 1956 Ford Fairlane -two tone green. If I remember correctly (maybe) turn signals were an option.
I have 1956 Willy car parked garage for long time don't run original everything what's is it worth
