Confession: I only vaguely understand how automatic transmissions work. It’s a box with gears and stuff that should never be messed with. I don’t know what’s actually going on with all those gears or how the shifter changes them. Automatics are like black boxes of mystery – the engine spins, shaft goes in, some magical fluid, PRNDL, shaft goes out, wheels spin.
But there are people who do understand theses things. Here is a time-lapse video of an old Thunderbird automatic transmission overhaul. After you watch you will be able to confidently rebuild your own 9-speed automatic transmission out of your 2016 all-wheel-drive vehicle. They’re all the same, really.

Mesmerizing to watch. And all without gloves.

I only use gloves for packing wheel bearings these days since i found out about pr88. This stuff has been a game changer for me.

Holy macaroni! 25 year old product and it reads like pure science fiction to me:
pr88 provides a non-greasy, non-sticky barrier against alcohol and carbon based substances like gasoline, diesel, oils, hydraulic fluids, creosote, fats, paint + thinners, tar, dyes resins, non-polar organic solvents, fiberglass, superglues, ink, graphite., epoxies, etc.Absorption of solvents and toxins by the skin is delayed and often prevented.
You’re saying this really works?-
Yep yep, obviously can’t keep stuff out of your fingernails but other than that dirt and grease just washes right off. No more embedded substances in my pores, and no more hot sweaty hands wearing gloves all day. I think it is actually wax based from the ingredient skimming i did, just put a little bit on my fingertip and rub it in all over my hands, ready to work for a few hours.
