This olelongrooffan has noted previously that I am fortunate enough to see some pretty cool vehicles at the place where I schlep trailers for a living. Today was no different. I spotted this huge ass truck pull in and the owners got out and headed to JeffTheBoss’s office to talk it up a bit about an ATC stacker gooseneck trailer (read $75 large into that statement). Meanwhile I grabbed my elcheapo image taker and grabbed some shots of it for here in the Hooniverse for Truck Thursday.
Now I certain UDMan knows infinitely more about these things than I ever will but know they are pricey as hell but worth every cent of it in TheBigBoss’s world.
Back when TheBigBoss was still shuttling trailers from the Hoosier State back here to the Sunshine State he was in the market for one of these to replace his Monroe built Kodiak. He mentioned a new one runs around $140,000.00 while you could find used ones around $90K. Yeah, I looking to dump my transmission busted beater pickemup truck for $500.00. These are just a little out of my price range.
And like a lot of rich mo-fos we run across here in the trailer world, this guy formed an LLC out in Montana to avoid having to pay sales tax on his high dollar purchases. Incidentally, he also owns a newish Lamborghini which is why he’s in the market for a high end trailer.
And that toterhome in the background on the left of the above image? My fellow Hoons can pick up that live aboard truck for a cool $195,000. And that trailer to the right? It is a mobile motorcycle/trike dyno. Yeah it’s gonna be loud down here next week for BikeWeek.

Man, those rear doors look awkward… but then, reused front doors usually do.
No kidding, that's the same door setup as our 1980's International highway maintenance trucks!
As a diesel-powered portable apartment owner, I can say, even if things go bad, it's still a great way to travel.
Nice rig. There are worse ways to haul a trailer.

You would think that for that kind of money they could afford some red reflectors out back to keep it legal.
Only 4 doors, they really aren't trying that hard.
