Remember the Hyundai Smaht Pahk Super Bowl commercial?

Of course you do. It was funny and memorable. And yet it showed a remarkably useless feature on a remarkably generic vehicle. But you remember it and you associate it w Hyundai, and that’s the point of a good commercial.

That said, the commercial was full of shit. I wrote a piece for Hagerty about how this feature is useless for parking almost anywhere in Boston. Now Makh, the guy from all those “real people” Chevy commercials, made his own version of the Smaht Pahk commerical. And you’ll be shocked to learn that he agrees with me – the Hyundai Sonata Smaht Pahk is friggin’ yoosless in Boston!!
