You know, having to shovel your car out of three feet of packed snow can make anyone a little cross. Having a newspaper reporter interrupt your efforts to ask moronic questions about said efforts, and how you’re enjoying the winter wonderland, can be even more frustrating. That’s why it’s not surprising to see that one of the shovelers digging a car out of a drift in Fargo ND had a little fun in providing his name to The Forum’s crackerjack weather reporter.
What is surprising is that nobody from the paper managed to catch the pun before it went to print. That’s the great thing about print media- once it’s out there, you can’t get the genie back in the bottle, unlike the Web where pranks like this are easily rectified with a few clicks of the mouse. One does wonder why they failed to interview noted Fargo residents Ben Dover and Mike Rotch for this story.

I think the Forum's editorial board took an early and long Christmas vacation. They interviewed a "Stu Podasso" a few weeks earlier.

Haywood must be close friends with Hugh Jerecshawn, Dixon Mamowth, and Herb Eaverschtank.

Yeah, I would've assumed "Heywood Jablome" would've gotten caught, but Mike Hunt? Actually believable.
